Mindful Movement and Meditation Class
Mindful Movement for Stress and Anxiety is a class designed to support those of us who are struggling with stress, fear, and anxiety.
This 8-week journey will include instruction in gentle yoga poses, breath work, meditation, and other evidence-based practices. The intention of this class is to teach you ways of becoming grounded in the present moment, creating a greater sense of balance and equanimity, and of addressing stress, fear, and anxiety.
The format of the group generally opens with a period of mindful mediation, followed by gentle yoga poses, and an additional period of meditation to close. While this class does not require you to share your personal experiences with others (i.e. this is not "group therapy"), there will be time after session to discuss questions should participants wish for additional support.
This class is being led by one of our clinical interns, Samantha Cohen. We’re offering this class at a reduced rate (70% off) for clients who would otherwise have any difficulty affording it.
