Conditions we are usually unable to treat

  • Moderate to Severe Suicidality (suicidality that goes beyond passive or intrusive ideation; involving, for example, planning how they might kill themselves, experiencing a desire to kill themselves, or forming the intention to kill themselves).

  • Moderate to Severe Homicidality (homicidality that goes beyond passive or intrusive ideation; involving, for example, planning how they might kill others, experiencing a desire to kill others, or forming the intention to kill others).

  • Moderate to Severe Substance or Alcohol Abuse (some of the symptoms that are indicative of moderate abuse are regular cravings, developing a tolerance to substances or alcohol, difficulty cutting back, and negative impacts on work, school, or personal life).

  • Moderate to Severe Eating Disorders (some of the symptoms that are indicative of moderate eating disorders include self-induced vomiting, misuse of laxatives, unhealthy levels of fasting, excessive exercise, and being physically underweight per BMI guidelines).

  • Moderate to Severe Psychosis (In mild psychosis, a person still has a firm foot in shared reality, recognizing that their mind might be playing tricks on them and as such experience little to no pressure to act on them or change their life because of them. In moderate psychosis, that insight begins to fracture, and the false reality becomes much more convincing).

  • Moderate to Severe Personality Disorders outside of Cluster C (the only personality disorders that we usually provide treatment for are Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder, Avoidant Personality Disorder, and Dependent Personality Disorder).

For those struggling with the aforementioned conditions, we are happy to provide referrals to other more appropriate providers in the area.
